Honour killings have been a persistent issue in Balochistan, with several cases reported from tribal and remote districts like Naseerabad, Jaffarabad, and Kohlu. These incidents often stem from deeply rooted tribal customs and perceptions of “family honour.” Despite legal reforms such as the 2016 anti-honour killing law, enforcement challenges, lack of witness protection, and social stigma continue to hinder justice. Rights groups consistently call for stronger state measures and community-level education to end honour-based violence in the province.
