Sumaira Malik a politician from Khushab, Punjab, Pakistan, born on December 19, 1963, has been elected MNA for her first term as an NA candidate. She is politically affiliated with MP. She is the daughter of Malik AllahYar Khan and the granddaughter of Amir Mohammad Khan, The Nawab of KalaBagh. Sumaira Malik’s uncle, Farooq Leghari was a prominent politician and was President of Pakistan. She headed the Ministry of Women Development and Ministry of Youth Affairs in the government of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. She is currently serving as Federal Minister for Women Development and Youth Affairs.
An agriculturist by profession, she graduated with an M.A in Political Science from University of the Punjab in 2002 after obtaining a diploma in Interior Design from Home Economics College, Lahore in 1987. Sumaira Malik is married and has traveled to China, Thailand, Iran, Saudi Arabia and several countries within the European Union.
