Pakistan Announces 15-Member Squad for Top End T20 Series in Australia

The Pakistan Cricket Board has unveiled a 15-member squad for the upcoming Top End T20 series, scheduled to take place in Darwin, Australia, from August 14 to 24. The squad will represent Pakistan Shaheens in the 11-team tournament designed to promote emerging talent on the international stage.
Irfan Khan Niazi has been appointed captain of the Shaheens side, which features a blend of youth and promise. The team includes rising stars such as Abdul Samad, Ahmed Daniyal, Faisal Akram, Haider Ali, Maaz Sadaqat, and Mehran Mumtaz. Wicketkeeping responsibilities will be shared between Khawaja Nafeh and Mohammad Ghazi Ghori.

The remaining members of the squad are Mubasir Khan, Saad Masood, Mohammad Salman Mirza, Shahid Aziz, Ubaid Shah, and Yasir Khan, forming a well-rounded lineup aiming to gain valuable international exposure through this developmental event.
Pakistan Shaheens will begin their campaign with a match against Bangladesh ‘A’ on August 14 at TIO Stadium in Darwin. Their second outing is scheduled against Scorchers on August 16, also at TIO Stadium, with play beginning at 4pm local time. The third match will take place on August 18 against Renegades at the same venue, with a 6pm start.
The Shaheens will then move to the DXC Arena on August 19 to face Kingsmen at 1pm. Their fifth match is set for August 20 against Strikers, also at the DXC Arena, with the first ball at 7pm. The team will conclude the group stage with a fixture against Nepal on August 22, again at 7pm at the DXC Arena.
The semi-finals and the final will be played on August 24. The PCB has announced that details regarding the training camp for the Darwin-bound squad will be shared later.
