Hassan and Kashmala’s relationship is shaped by the gap between commitment and action. His determination to secure his sisters’ futures keeps delaying their marriage, placing an emotional burden on Kashmala as she waits for a life they have planned together.
Within the household, Hassan’s mother reinforces his sense of obligation. The needs and expectations of his sisters further complicate his decisions, making it increasingly difficult to balance his role as a brother with his responsibilities to Kashmala.
Main Tera explores family duty, sacrifice, emotional dependence and fairness in relationships. Its central conflict considers when caring for loved ones begins to come at an unreasonable cost to another person’s future.
