Abdul Qadir Patel (born August 8, 1968) is the current chairman of standing committee on Interior is Pakistani born politician with Kutchi and Sindhi decent, who represents the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in National Assembly of Pakistan.

Education and personal life

Patel was born in Karachi on August 8, 1968. He has attended collage in 1991 and obtained his B.A degree from Urdu Arts College Karachi.

Political career

He was elected as a Member National Assembly of Pakistan of the 13th National Assembly of Pakistan in the February 2008 General Election on a Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) ticket. He started his electoral career through his election as a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in 1993 from Lyari Town. He is currently serving as member National Assembly of Pakistan and Chairman Standing Committee on Interior. He usually appears in political talk shows in Pakistan as leader and representative of Pakistan Peoples Party.

Role in Liyari Town

He is elected as member National Assembly of Pakistan from seat of NA-239 (Karachi-I) Kemari Town however he plays the vital role in peace keeping in Lyari Town therefore he is known and very much popular among people of Lyari.
